Tango One

I want to ask you a question. Do you like suspense and thrill? If yes, I have got a tremendous book for you. The book featuring above is one of my favourites. Its "TANGO ONE" by Stephen Leather.

Stephen Leather is one of UK's famous and most successful thriller writer. This edition is also full of thrill and suspence.

This is a story about three recruits from different parts of London. They all have applied for joining Metropolitan Police. They get selected and on the first day of their training at Hendon Assistant Commissioner tells them that he wants them to join a team of undercover detectives. They agree to do so and collect information about several criminals. But their main target is Dennis Donovan also known as "Tango One" who is one of  the world's biggest drug dealers.

Three years later they get close to their target........ and at the last moment there is a twist in the story.....

Do you like to read books with short, funny and interesting stories? 

Well if yes, I have got a nice one for you. --- "WHEN DADDY WAS A LITTLE BOY" - This book is written by Alexander Raskin.

A big part of my childhood was reading, and one of my most cherished books of that time was this hardbound collection of stories called "When Daddy Was a Little Boy" by Alexander Raskin. 

I read this book for the first time a few years back and I loved it. Even today when ever I am sad I read a couple of chapters and it never fails to cheer me up.

Now about the stories-  I will tell how he got the idea to write this book. He had a daughter named Sasha. Well, when Sasha was a very little girl, she was often ill. She had the grippe, and a sore throat, and an infected ear. 

Once Sasha's ear hurt so badly that she cried and cried. She couldn't sleep at all. Alexander Raskin felt so sorry for her that he nearly cried, too and so he read aloud to her and told her funny stories. He told her a story about the time he rolled his new ball under a car when he was a little boy. Sasha liked the story. She was surprised to learn that her daddy had once been a little boy, and that he'd gotten into mischief and had also been punished sometimes. 

Each time he told her a new story. You will find them all in this book. He tried to remember all the funny things that had ever happened to him, because he wanted to make a sick girl smile.

Sometimes, when he could not think of a story, he borrowed one from other daddies he knew. After all, every daddy was once a little boy. So you see, none of these stories were invented. They all actually happened to little boys. 

So if you get bored by reading long stories ; you can try this one out.
